Harley Davidson Theme Birthday Party

My husband turns 31 years old last week. I have planned to do a birthday surprise for him. Out from our norms who celebrating birthday or anniversary for a simple lunch or dinner at nando's restaurant.

Step 1: find your partner in crime. I chosed my best friend Salina to help me out and of course my mom.

Step 2: decide on the date, time & venue

Step 3: the theme. I picked Harley Davidson. He wanted a Harley bike which definitely I'm not afford to buy.

 So I googled image of a Harley Davidson cake. I get someone who I can trust on giving me a good cake and I preferred it to be cream frosting instead of fondant which definitely we going to waste. Fortunately the cake turn out better and cheaper.

Step 4: the invites. With courtesy of Google image and PowerPoint I made invitation cards which I pass it to his friends using whatsapp.

I do mention its a surprise and they have to rsvp(I need to know the volume of the food later)

Step 5: foods & beverage. Since it a surprise I can't be busy cooking so I have to rely on the fast food chains. I refer the menu serve in Hard Rock Cafe and try to immitate that the closest but with available fast food. So our menu are;

Starter:

1. Mushroom soup (sneakily cooked them middle of the night). Serve with baguette.

2. Salads with ceaser dressing and sesame dressing.

Main menu:

1. Variety of pizza

2. Nasi goreng

3. Fried chicken

Dessert:

1. Cake

2. Konyaku jelly (made with love by Salina -our favourite)

3. Blueberry & fruits tarts ( courtesy of Salina)

4. Fruits (Orange)

Drinks:

1. Root beer (as the can color almost like the theme)

2. Crysentumum tea

3. Orange cordial

Step 6: the surprise plan.

Step 7: the party decoration & table setting. 

The labels were printed on orange paper and the logo courtesy of Google.

Helium balloons in Orange colour I bought at glowing party house at Kajang Reko Sentral. I have to add RM 1 extra for the helium treatment in order to maintain them for 48hours without loosing the gas. U really need this if require the balloon to stay longer.

 And I bought the Harley Davidson miniature at petronas

Step 8: pray hard everything in its place. If the surprise blow just admit you are planning for his birthday party.

Get Organized: Templates

I get too excited when i found out that the latest Microsoft Office carries a lot of function.
I still remember and still keep my templates, and a lot of other templates which i made it myself & copied the idea from the organizing blogger.

When i came across this;

i get all excited and call my husband.

This is one of my wishlist. Going paperless is one thing, being organized is one thing.
The problem is i dont own any PC or laptop and wasnt thinking to get one at this moment.

only that i am getting too excited and have to blog about it.

Birthday for all- plan B publika

We have been friends more than 10 years and still going strong. Back when the school years we always celebrate each other birthday, and usually the fast food chain. of course Nando's is in the first place until today.

Before it always a plan for surprises. being blindfolded, just ignore the birthday girl, bring the girl's crush to joined and wish,, you know the teen stuff. Thinking back it was so funny an immature. Those memories are the points when we meet up.

When everyone busy with the tertiary education we made an occasions to meet up. We did contact each other but not as frequence as today when we are working. Reason being is the technology of wats app. So no more "eh i tell u this can u please tell others too". Now with smart phones everybody connected. Few of us even  meet up  almost everyday. Gym classes, tea, lunch & dinner.

And one day we decided to throw a birthday party for everyone. Now for each & everyone, hmm... 'wah banyaknya, x cukup duit nih' now everyone has their own money so i bet commitment tag together so we make an event to celebrate everybody birthdays all at one!

We went for Plan B in Publika as place to meet up. The food was ok but the main food is only served 3pm onwards which made us have fewer choice (sandwiches & pasta). We ok with that because we knew we gonna crash other places too such as mamak or gerai. The food price = OK, still within the budget and you may lepak lama as they give you free water.

I could not recall what was my food name is, it sounds like "vegetable pasta" kot.

Making Smurf

My superman's birthday just past on last Monday & apart from gift im making a polkadot teatime apam... An apam with a little bit twist! Im calling them smurf as them look so cute like a little mushroom & its look like a smurf's house.

To be honest, this delicacy is not my favorite but this was insisted by my supermom to do it so as they all happyly shopping outside & left me alone in the house.

My mom gave me therecipe where she got it from the internet.... To share... Here is the recipe... (this is an easy recipe)




Bahan-bahan (boleh buat 50 biji)

•275gm tepung gandum
•220gm gula halus
•3 biji telur gred A
•150ml susu segar atau susu cair
•3 sudu tehbaking powder
•1 sudu kecil ovalette
•Filling (inti) - blueberry/strawberry/chocolate
•pewarna

Cara-cara:
1. Masukkan semua bahan apam dlm mixer dgn kelajuan maxima sampai kembang

2.bahagikan adunan mengikut kaler yg dingini

3. Masukkan adunan bewarna kedalam piping beg (im just using a plastic bag)

4. Picit adunan ke dlm mangkuk kertas - sparuh sahaja

5. Letakkan filling (i did'nt put any)

6. Picit adunan sehingga hampir penuh cup( depends nak adunan sama warna atau x)

7. Akhir sekali dot-dot kan dengan warna pilihan (amik yg contras-warna boleh campur lets get the artist in u out)

8. Air kukus perlu didihkan terlebih dahulu dan kecilkan api time nak masak apam selama 15-20 minit, kalau x nanti merekah. Jangan lupa tambahkan air kukusan dan didihkan dahulu untuk trip yang seterusnya ya

Kalau ain syakirin boleh buat anda boleh buat (im very bad at cooking)!!!!

Minggu pertama ramadhan sbg isteri

Salam ramadhan semua...

Hmm... Puasa sebagai seorg isteri tahun ini... Saya masih blum berjaya mengespresi kasih sayang saya dlm bentuk makanan kepada suami tercinta.

Kecuali air epal berserat penuh dan sambal sotong yg x kick.

Pada hari khamis my superman terpaksa berbuka bersama the dato n datin since i have event with my contractor in hilton kl...

Makanan banyak, dari makanan melayu, barat, jepun, chocolate fountain, dessert yg mah-ve-lous, abc dan mcm mcm lagi lah.





Tetapi saya hanya pilih apa yang berlainan dari apa yang saya selalu makan...

So pilihan saya western dan japanese serta dessert selain perasaan nak raya datang awal sekeping lemang n nasi impit.

Pada hari jumaat saya seharusnya join buka puasa bersama kawan-kawan uia saya tetapi disebabkan perkerjaan saya batalkan.

Konsep entertainment client di south sea restaurant subang.




Tiada surau dan bukan pilihan saya kalau memilih tempat. Tempat cantik.
Saya x cadangkan pada anda semua walaupun boleh kata sedap jugak.

Terdapat surau di pam stesen berhampiran.

pemanasan rumah buat ke sekalian kali

Baru sahaja menghantar tetamu terakhir pulang setelah sehari mereka memanaskan rumah k hari ini. Seronok juga dapat berehat dirumah dan berborak dengan sepupu tersayang. perbincangan dari sebelum berkahwin dan perancangan selepas berkahwin, bincang pasal deco rumah impian kereta impian dan segala impian yang ada (of course yang berborak nih yang wanita2nya). Yang jejaka2 sibuk dengan game dan asap rokoknya...



menu hari ini adalah sama seperti yang sebelum2 nih. paling ringkas dan segera (sempatlah sapu mop lantai sebelum pukul 10 dan segala proses masak memasak, table setting siap pkul12tgh hari!) just right on time, sempatla nak mekap (malangnya gambar x tangkap punexcept cookies).

Selain menu wajib spaghetti, sempat jugala k bakar cookies. lebihan doh semalam x larat nak buat (almaklumlah toaster oven yang kecik tuh, 'owh sayang, jangan ada intention untuk belikan yang lebih besar, rumah sudah makin sempit!' terima kasih kepada siapa yang bagi hadiah kahwin itu... kenyang superman k)

saya seorang isteri and havent cook for my husband just yet though we already married for more than a month...

we have stove but no gas...
hv microwave and oven... but stilll
gulai lemak daging best dimasak atas api!!!

Yup definitely a wide gap difference between having a wedding at dewan and rumah...

even better kawin kat kampung... the difference sgt jelas ok

mcm laa x pernah ada sepupu kawin kat kampung...

my kampung not that really kampung anymore...

as usual we more into camwhoring instead of helping here and there...

the way we look is waaaayyyyyy to important and to be noticed by the photographer is a must!!!

this is like a big event... riuh sekampung...

3 hari 3 malam ok..

they started on Friday,,, where everybody in the kampung bersiap sedia for the event,,, lembu n everything laa...

DAY 1

so we rent an apartment nearby... (cantik n definetly come again,,, thanks chris)

we arrived after maghrib on Saturday... due to a longer rest taken by us we miss the bunga api... but we can see it from our apartment!!!

iya anda x salah baca... bunga api... bukan yg berharga rm2 seikat tuh yer nih yang mcm time merdeka day or opening of commenwealth tuh... serious ockay...

we had a very good conversation with the groom father who welcome us as if we are VVIP...

i never know during wedding there will be someone who will sponsor cigarettes to the helper...

SubhanAllah...

superbly delicious... we ate like a king... the uncle bring with the pail of sup tulang and give a few chunck of sup tulang yg masih panas and sangat sedap...

DAY 2

Eila woke me up...

we promise each other(eila, evon and myself) to go for early swimming at the apartment swimming pool...

( ihave known as memerang,,,, saya suka berenang2)

unfortunately the pool is still close and only open at 9am

since we are so hungry,,, we go and find a stall nearby

by walking we just hentam jer and sawthis uncle in his pelekat sweeping his house floor and ask where is the nearest stall ( the car keys with the guys n no one berani mintak kerana kami percaya mereka sedang nyenyak tido)

so we found a stall selling arab menu...

we tried syaksyuka...

siler laa try utk pagi menu anda..

sgt sgt sedap...

ate it with baget... and everyone there agree that melaka suka mkn roti jenis ini

siler laa makan saya sarankan dgn sesungguhnya

sedap n sekarang pun teringin makan lagi

alangkah bestnya kalau.... nyumnyum

and after makan we rush back to our apartment and gedebush terjun kolam(ouuu yaa kami makan sambil berpakaian renang) hahaha

jangan ditanya berapa lama

long enough to skin to change colour... (menyesal pun ada gak sbb lupa i kan nak kawin boleh plak bertambah gelap kulit i yg mmg dah gelap nih... gelap photoshoot dulu pun x sudah lagi)

lepas tuh bersiap2 kemas and bersiap sedia for jia big day...
