Our Heaven On Earth: Dry Kitchen

0 people have to say a little bit of something
if some of my reader follow my instagram, you probably seen this photo.

and if you been reading this blog you might remember my berangan on my Our Heaven On Earth: Dry Kitchen Planning.

So we did ask few quotations even from the previous kitchen cabinet contractor. But the price way too high...  GST is one the course of it.

We settled with a small malay contractor who give us cheap quot.
Decent Perakians, but takes him long time to finish the projects.

Due to his small business we cannot aspect much. Something we need to compromise on, such as of course the time (warned you it is too long), insufficient workers, and few selection of products (what you tick on the catalog might not be available),  & less tidy.

The pro is, it is very cheap (we select, quartz top and melamine door), what he quote is what you paid. x berkira langsung, good person terlampau sopan santun.

Despite the cons i think we quite satisfied with outcome. Some untidy works is barely seen (it is there but not that irritating or eye sore).

Still it looks nice to me... and of course i love it... it is my birthday gift anyway....

Last Sunday of 2014

0 people have to say a little bit of something
My prayers & doa to all flood victims in Pantai Timur. May Allah blessed you with more flourish & rich of rizk and live in more prosperous country. Hudud is on the way. Allah with you.

Today is the last Sunday for 2014. People already talking about their resolutions for 2015. Have you accomplished all the resolutions in 2014 friends? How is your year? As you can see my resolutions still stay at the side bar. But I am so thankful that this year meant a lot to me. Thank you Allah. I am truly blessed.

My year started with unexpected long awaited news. I am pregnant! I myself did not aware of the changes inside me not until the baby is 6 weeks. I had a terrible uneasy stomach ache. We went to clinic and a simple pee in a cup and the double lines on the indicator stick solved the mystery of stomach ache. Things was not going so well with the pregnancy. we went for the first ultrasound but there was no heartbeat. The doctor put us on hope to come back and have it check for another 2 weeks just in case we miss calculate. Before the appointment date I notice some changes in me. I know right away that im going to lost the baby.

It such a heartbreaking moment for us but we accept it as Allah will. On the bright sight we know that we can conceive naturally. We waited for so long before and we going to wait again until Allah say so. We still happy though either way. To my dear I thank you for bring me a lot closer to Allah and make me surrounded by beautiful people, make me even tougher and stronger. I thank you a lot and we love you.

After i enjoy my pantang days (seriously i like those days a few kilos lighter) and aiming for sirap limau ais which everyday consume like it the best drink on earth in the middle of the hot lunch time by my colleague. I drank them like no other business. Ice everyday and those sugar... urghhh...

As I can remember, I think this year so many gatherings and events happen which bring my friends even closer. I have my bestest friends wedding. I am so happy for them and happy to be one of the vip guest on their special days. Due to that event so many met up and discussions held.

On top of that, we have a new addition to our family. My nephew were born. He is very healthy and adorable. So i spend so many time in my parents house just to be with him and having a havoc girlish playdoh time with the sister.

Another transition of my life apart of the career is im now a student. I already start my class for few weeks now. Man, its hard. Please pray for me for my success. If you could help me to give me an idea of possible thesis in Muamalah you such a darling.

No traveling for this year as we so caught up with work and events. I hope next year will be some travelling happens. However it depends on the country situation. I have no word for GST, I know nothing on what will happen to us, the only thing I know I like them when we were in other country, those refund... wink.. wink..

I am still thinking to reframe and strategize my 2015 resolution. All and all I did not accomplished fully of my resolutions this year but still I have part and pieces of them. Looking forward for next year and please do share with us what is yours.

Latest news on AirAsia plane. May all of you rest in peace with the rahmat by Allah S.W.T.

Our Heaven On Earth: Guest Room

0 people have to say a little bit of something
At first we thought to have a home office right at the room near to our kitchen. So that both of us working and can see each other... kononnya. Though we rarely have guest coming in but once they come we knew we need to create some privacy space for them.

to perform solah
for a changing room
for a proper resting place
for mommy baby breasfeeding moment
to keep our privacy as well upstairs

Currently the room occupied by my things (kitchen equipment and item) and in house ampai... hahahah. Being realistic I am very sure that my dry kitchen will take much longer time to be physically available, therefore i would like to proceed with either guest room or home office.

Not being selfish, I myself decided (without consulting my hub) to proceed with the guest room.

Something worth to share before any project start up.

Get organized: Warranties & Manuals files

5 people have to say a little bit of something
We use to file everything inside our family binder. Where there is a section for Warranties.

The smaller receipts/manuals & warranties sometimes cannot be punched as my thoughts it will void.
Thus the poly-envelopes/ document folders are my choice and i dumped everything inside it. It does work. only that this kind of envelope are limited to find. The common that i encounter are the document files without the holes. By the way the holes as well not perfectly fits the rings. But still guys it does work. Only that u have to consume a bit of the time to find the right one. just a bit of time.

As I am now into this organizing project and dari duk menunggu our house ready apa kata i did something ahead untuk ofis idaman sang arjuna cinta itu. To have a home office is one of his dream. And I myself already visualize what & where to puts things already. Big dream huh?!

Anyway this organizing project is actually an improvisation from the earlier one.
Item required:

1. Warranty/Manuals/Receipts - I keep the major ones.
2. Magazine File - CBE
3. Document Files with claps - Lots of it according to your needs
4. Document/Posted Note Label-er
5. Label Maker

Amacam? Better right? Easy to access, you save up on the time (no punching holes, no turning on pages)
Its more visual pleasing.

I divided them into categories depends what suits us best. I might add up the categories from what I currently have. The color coded categories make them easy to read.

Example:
Gadget - phones, camera, label maker,
Kitchen - Oven, rice cooker, microwave, juice mixer (Related to kitchen)
Furniture - Table, mattress, sofa
Beauty - Hair dryer, Shaver
Auto - GPS, Radio, (things related to your car)
Apparel - Handbags, Jackets, Shoes, watches (those expensive ones),
Appliances - Fan, Air-cond, TV, DVD

Tips: Do not put Miscellaneous as its actually make us make that as junk files (this what i learn from the organizers junkie)

Thinking back of this, there are lot of advantages:
1. No missing manuals & warranties
2. If wanted to sell the stuff it comes with manuals & warranties orang lebih percaya and as added value.
3. Remember when we place the manuals & warranties inside the product's boxes ( i did that! esok nak search out the manuals in the store, sigh!) as it aged either it will be discoloured or as makanan lipas paling enak dimuka bumi, at least this method save up some of your time & even the warranties dan paling penting you tak de lah terpaksa meredah habuk dan segala apa yang ada dalam store kan?

I get this idea from Alejandra Castello, only that I rather keep them in the magazine files than in the binder, for me it is easier that way. Remember organize thing depends on what best works with you. Happy organizing people! Have better ideas? share-share ler... 5S katanya!

Get Organized: Templates

0 people have to say a little bit of something
I get too excited when i found out that the latest Microsoft Office carries a lot of function.
I still remember and still keep my templates, and a lot of other templates which i made it myself & copied the idea from the organizing blogger.

When i came across this;

i get all excited and call my husband.

This is one of my wishlist. Going paperless is one thing, being organized is one thing.
The problem is i dont own any PC or laptop and wasnt thinking to get one at this moment.

only that i am getting too excited and have to blog about it.
you can choose variety of budget templates, checklist things to do...

ok x sabar nak explore lagi

2013

0 people have to say a little bit of something
I have to say i had a great year last year. Most of my wishes in the wishlist are granted. Alhamdulillah thank you Allah.

Started on the as early as Jan with a baby, my beautiful niece ardelia herisya a quick trip to Singapore, our heaven on earth progress is quite good. Surrounded by beautiful & great people.

A designer bag from husband. I managed to pay zakat where i neglected that for quite sometimes. Unexpected trip to West part of Europe. Touch down to Hong Kong & China.

We had a family vacation for quite some places. A whole month of doing nothing in december. Own a car. Doesnt it great?!

Alhamdulillah, it was started quite well this year and hopefully it is getting better by days, months, & years to come.

This year the wind has change from China to India company. With new workplace & a bestfriend working together its a double thumbs up!

Im going to challenge myself to;

1. Be more organize (notice it when things go hairwire when preparing for loans)
2. Saving more (no overseas vacation, hopefully)
3. Again! Thicker hair
4. Again! Great skin
5. Important! A fit body!
6. To complete this healthy cooking book that we bought in Big Bad Wolf.
7. Finished up my sewing class.
8. Have a great home.
9. More green

This year more on self improvisation. But all with Allah's will. InsyaAllah.

I wish everybody have a great year.

Travel: Shenzhen & Hong Kong

0 people have to say a little bit of something
End of November this year, my family off to an oriental vacation except my husband & brother who cant make it as they have to cope up with work and school.

This trip have been planned a way ahead with a service by a tourist agent. Which by my advice you do not need them after you read this. Hope this is helpful enough. (K pasti dalam hati sure fikir susah makan susah nak berconversation- yes that is what we thought!)

Ok as per informed the schedule flight should be on 22th November 2012 at 7pm by Cathay Pacific. Unfortunately the agent reschedule it on 23th November 2012 and the flight is on 10am and we were informed only on 21th November 2012 at 9pm! Reason being is because we going to arrive in Hong Kong midnight and they did not have any hotel for us which will make us sleep over at airport. (Memang tak boleh diterima akal, we have babies and seniors with us. It should be planned since the itenery was emailed to us a week before the schedule date after being persuaded months before!)

Maka terpaksalah teruskan juga on the next day flight , dah bayarkan nak buat macam mana. Deep in heart I dah start not to love this vacation walaupun tak start journey pun lagi. Kami tahu dah yang this whole day memang meant for the journey sahaja. Tak ke rugi satu hari dah kan.

Tips #1: If you are travelling with friends (without kids and seniors), you may proceed to have night flight it is the best time. Setakat tidur airport for a few hour nak tunggu subuh ok kot kan? Hong Kong time sama dengan kita so x de la jetlag mana.

23th November 2012:

9:00 am - we gathered at KLIA for check in.
11:00 am - Take off from Malaysia.
2:00 pm - Arrived in Hong Kong airport.
3:00 pm - Solat in Hong Kong airport (Departure hall level 7, lane A: Jalan straight ke belakang lane ada lambang as photos. Ada tanda kiblat ada tempat wuduk, Alhamdulillah but no sejadah/prayer mat and no telekung). For those who need a place for meditation this is the place as well.

4:30 pm - to China by train to Louhu/Lowu, Shenzhen (Train or metro in Hong Kong and China is easy to understand as the information is compact)

6:30 pm - arrive in Shenzhen, China.

Tips #2: You need to prepare a visa in Malaysia if want to visit China.

7:00 pm - To Prince Hotel, which for me a good location. Terletak next to Shangri La hotel. A walking distance from immegration and near to metro intercity and intracity. Yang penting dekat dengan tempat membeli belah Lowu/Louhu. Dan if you planned to go to Guangzhou the 2 hrs bullet train station is located next to the immegration. Opposite the Prince Hotel.

Prince Hotel : It has big room that can accomodate 4-6 people at once (if you bring extra bed or sleeping bag la) and with almost transparent bathroom.

Tilamnya mak aih keras and have a smell of old room. All beverages provided you have to pay NOT FREE.

Tips #3: If you are travelling within this period of the year, please prepare for sweater and socks as they may get colder during the nights.

8:00 pm - Went for dinner at Halal chinese restaurant. It was quite affordable price makan 5 orang nasi dan 3 lauk only cost us around RM70-75. Walking distance from the hotel. From hotel, walk right until you will see a music/CD shop, (you have to cross a road with a traffic light and pass KFC). Turn right on that alley you will see a halal pakistani restaurant and the chinese restaurant is just next to it.

Here you have choice either to eat at the pakistani which is for us quite mahal. Since we are in China we need to taste their buds.

9:30 pm - my family went to Lowu/Louhu shopping centre which located at the immigration as other group are to tired and went back to hotel. I try to find some curtains here, but due to time constraint, we just window shopping.

Window window pun i tertangkap one of my list. My iphone casing. Here boleh tawar kaw kaw miaw punya. Some of them boleh cakap bahasa melayu (mainly bahasa indonesia). Kalau x tau cakap pun tak apa just tekan je calculator. Please go down to something ridiculous price. Harga yang macam tak logic because later dia akan mintak 'best price'. You all naikkan la sikit. Die akan mintak lagi. If it still over your target price. Walk on biar lantak lah dia maki pun. Kedai ni tutup pukul 10:30 pm so plan betul- betul la yer. Memang by 11 pm tu dah banyak kedai tutup.

Tips #4 - Lowu/ Louhu shopping centre is the best place to by phone accesories and electrical or immitation bag yang gred yang terbaik itu yang kami nampaklah. Bag die siap ada dust bag and paper bag lagi. So now kene berhati-hati dengan online shopping yer puan-puan. Tapi masih ada unbrand bag yang design die pun cantik-cantik. Power bank kat sini yg 11000mA tu boleh dapat as cheap as RM40.

24th November 2012

Tips #5 - Bawak international socket.

Kalau saya personnally prefer Louhu. Apa-apa pun depends apa yang kita nak beli. Paling menyedihkanlah kan kalau size yang konon-konon small ni kat China dah kira besar dah. Baju beli hari ni try kat rumah dah koyak. So quality mmg hampeh la sikit. Kene pandai cari.

2:00 pm - Makan wantan mee halal yang satu pengalaman yang menarik. Ia terletak berhampiran metro dan dekat dengan panggung wayang. Dekat kedai nike.

Tips #6 - Boleh beli sim card kat sini RM40 data plan utk 3 hari. Tapi kat sini x boleh Facebook yer.. Keep on instagram je la yer. Atau pun simpan gambar toilet, and lambang halal. Restaurant atau tempat yang penting la. Sebab kalau cakap toilet bathroom tunjuk sign languange pun diorang x faham.

Tips #7 - bawa botol air kosong untuk kegunaan apabila diperlukan.

4:00 pm - kami rush balik hotel because nak solat. It was raining so lepak hotel and masak kat hotel jer.

Tips #8 - bawak aspirin dari Malaysia sebab kat sana x berapa berkesan.

25th November 2012

9:00 pm - we all gather for worlds of wonders. Salah satu attraction kat sini. Boleh la bawa bekal kat sini.

1:00 pm - kami solat di sebuah cafe di antartic.

7:30 pm - persembahan di worlds of wonders yang memang comform x paham. Tapi tengok je lah dah bayar

8:00 pm - balik dan pg dinner kat tempat hari tu.

26 November 2012

6:00 am - Gathered untuk pegi ke station Louhu  ke Hong Kong

7:00 am - Immegration checking and off by train to Tsin Tsat Shun. Our tour guide bought us a day pass.

11:00 am - Arrived in Chung King Hotel, Hong Kong (Recommended; clean, cheap, location & wifi)

12:00 pm - To Hong Kong Disneyland.
Mesti terfikir mana nak sembahyang kat Disneyland kan? Sila pergi ke Disnyeland City Hall and ask the service for prayer room. Kat situ boleh solat but not provide sejadah atau pun telekung.

Tip #10: Pegi Disneyland weekday instead of weekend dan bukan time hujan macam time kami pegi. Pegi lambat sikit around December is ok sebab bile hujan keadaan tersangat sejuk so x tahan sangat. Banyak x dapat main.

6:00 pm - Going back to Hotel.

9:00 pm - We went to Ladies Market. (Nothing cheap compared to Shenzhen. but kalau nak cari keychain t-shirt sini kat sini jer la yang ada)

Tips #11: Diingatkan bahawa Ladies Market ni tutup pkul 11mlm hari biasa. We were informed that it open till late night mcm downtown/uptown kat Malaysia. tapi bukan on weekdays night. so x sempat nak belek2 sangat sebab banyak kedai tgh mengemas.

Tips #12: Metro time until pkul 12 mlm. tapi to be safe 11:30pm tu kami dah gerak balik hotel. Nak naik taxi mahal.

Tips #13: Makanan halal (mostly pakistani food) bersepah-sepah di Hong Kong ni. So x menjadi masalah.

27 November 2012

8:30 am - berkumpul untuk pulang

11:00 am - Flight to Kuala Lumpur
